Camp Lau-Ren – Make it a summer they’ll remember …

A Camp of the United Church of Canada

Camp Lau-Ren provides a Christian experience in an outdoor setting. We are located on the Ottawa River, 10 kilometers west of Deep River, off Highway #17, on Lau-Ren Road.  Camp Lau-Ren is fully accredited by the United Church of Canada and the Ontario Camps Association.

We provide residential six-day camps and one three-day Tadpole Camp for 6 – 8 year olds.  Our Leaders-in-Training camp runs alongside the Senior Camp and registration is limited.  We offer one all-girls camp and the remainder are co-ed. Children enjoy canoeing, archery, swimming, life study, crafts, sports, campfires and so much more.

All children are welcome. Subsidies are available for children who need financial assistance to attend our camp. More information can be obtained by emailing our Executive Directors at

If the camp is closed because of COVID-19, full refunds will be given to campers who have registered. We are in the process of developing our protocols for this summer.  Parents will be asked to screen campers before coming to camp.  Upon arrival at camp, all campers will go through a screening process before proceeding with the in-take process.  There will be increased environmental cleaning and hand sanitizing stations will be installed at all buildings. Campers will be educated on the procedures put in place – physical distancing, mask use, co-horting, meal time protocols, etc. At this point, procedures are being developed in conjunction with the Ontario Camps Association and the Renfrew County & District Health Unit to ensure the safety and well-being of your camper while at Camp Lau-Ren.  More information will be posted in the coming weeks.
